Greeting! I am Benson from Uganda and I am a humanitarian and a child advocate. Besides, I am the Founder and Managing Director for Good Salt Foundation-Uganda (GOSAFO-UG). Good Salt Foundation-Uganda (GOSAFO-UG) is a Christ-centred Child and Youth Development Community-Based Organization in Kasese District, Uganda, East Africa, dedicated to supporting vulnerable children (Orphans, children with special needs, and children whose parents live with disabilities) through holistic child development.
Our work focuses on nurturing children in six key/thematic areas: Spiritual Wellness (Faith & Moral Development), Intellectual Wellness (Education Support), Physical Wellness (Health & Nutrition), Environmental Wellness (Sustainability & Awareness), Social Wellness (Child Protection & Wellness), and Mental Wellness (Counseling & Emotional Support).
At GOSAFO-UG, we strongly believe in raising children who are not only educated, but also peaceful, empathetic, and responsible members of society. Through our programs, we promote values such as love, faith, respect, unity, integrity and compassion
Our children come from diverse and often highly vulnerable backgrounds, and we intentionally create safe spaces where they can express themselves, share their experiences, and learn to appreciate others. Participating in the Peace Crane Project will give them a meaningful opportunity to connect with other young people across the world through creativity and shared messages of peace.
We are particularly excited about using art as a tool for peacebuilding, as it allows children to communicate emotions and ideas beyond words. Through activities like origami and message sharing, our children will learn that peace is something they can actively practice and share with others.
We believe that when children are given the opportunity to create, share, and connect, they grow into individuals who can transform their communities with peace and understanding.

Blessings to you all.
