1,000 Cranes – THE MAP!

We are going on tour! The Peace Crane Project is collecting 1,000 cranes from students around the world, to be displayed both here on our map, and also at real-world locations across the globe. Our partners at Peace Day 365 are currently working with the UNDPI in hopes the cranes will be displayed in the United Nations building this September. Other equally rewarding venues are in the works! Please join us for this exciting initiative. Our goal is to have at least one crane representing each country in the world and every state in the United States.

To participate:

  • Fold a crane.
  • Write a message of peace on its wings.
  • Include your first name and your location somewhere on your crane.
Send us a photo of your crane. Include the students who folded it, if possible.
  • Put your crane in an envelope and send it to:

Because we are limiting the exhibit to 1,000 cranes, please send only one crane per student, or select the best crane from your group. Not all cranes submitted will be displayed. As the show travels, many cranes will be replaced. So the likelihood of your crane being featured somewhere are very high, but not promised. Thanks for understanding.
